

Deborah Johnson Foret Lions, 62, passed away on April 9th, 2014 at West Jefferson Medical Center in Marrero, LA. She was born on October 21st, 1951 in Leavenworth, Kansas to Dwane A. Johnson and Shirley S. Schultz. She is the mother of Dawn Foret Fabro (Vincent) and Amanda Foret Hoke (Chris).
Debbie grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana. She attended Behrman High School in Algiers. She worked as a collector for many years at the Bank of Louisiana and NCO Financial before retiring in 2007.
She enjoyed writing poetry and listening to her large collection of music. She loved her family and friends, especially her dogs, Abigail and Sophie-Lynn who brought her much joy.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dwane A. Johnson and Step-father Charles Schultz, whom she adored. Grandparents Gus and Violet Johnson, Charles and Florence Sales and her Aunt Joyce Biester of Kansas. Also her brother Whitney A. Schultz.
She is survived by her significant other Don Nidiffer, her mother, Shirley S. Schultz, her two daughters, Dawn Foret Fabro (Vincent) and Amanda Foret Hoke (Chris), her sister Myrna Walker (Darren), brothers Robert Medina (Lori) and Richard Schultz, and many dear nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Beloved grandchildren Vincent Jr. and Devanie Fabro and Cohen Hoke.
She will be missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends. A memorial service will be held at Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at 7:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM.
