He was a loving and devoted husband, father and PawPaw whose devotion and care to his two granddaughters was unmatched. He was an avid golfer, loved fishing and spending time at the camp. He loved to volunteer for the Zurich Classic Fore Kids Foundation as a caddy, hole marshal and whatever else they needed him to do. David retired from the Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans after 30 years of service.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Michael John and Ruth Richthofen Timphony, Jr.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving and devoted wife of 41 years Rondell Smith Timphony who were married on November 27, 1981, his loving daughter, Jennifer ”Baby Girl” Timphony (Dustin) Maise; his loves of his life granddaughters, Adrianna “DoDo” Maise and Gianna “GG” Maise; mother-in-law, Irene “MeMe” Chifici; brothers, Michael (Darlene) Timphony III., Gerry (Corey Butler) Timphony and Terry (Julia) Timphony; Nieces, Lauren Timphony, Victoria Timphony and Allie (Claire) Timphony-Couvillion. Godfather of Allie Timphony-Couvillion and Jacob Ockman. David is survived by his lifelong friend Angelo “Bean” Alima. He is also survived by other relatives, family and friends.

Visitation for David will be held on Wednesday, July 26th, 2023 from 10:00AM until 1:00PM at Westside Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero, Louisiana. A Funeral Service will be celebrated in the Chapel of the funeral home at 1:00PM. Interment will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Gretna, Louisiana.
