David Michael Shoemake passed away peacefully on Friday afternoon, February 2, 2018. He was 66 years old. Beloved husband of Donna Ortego Shoemake of over 45 years. Loving father of Amanda Fabre (Darby) and Angela Manuel (Josh). Grandfather of Darby Fabre, Colin Fabre, Jude Fabre, Kyle Manuel, and Kaleb Manuel. Brother of Faye Smith. Son of the late Fay and David Shoemake. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. David was a native of Magnolia, Mississippi and has been a resident of the Westbank for the majority of his life. He was a graduate of West Jefferson High School and retired from Hunting Ingalls Tubular Threading after 25 years of service as a CNC Machinist. David was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and uncle, and will be greatly missed by many.
