Cynthia "Cindy" Marie Bourgeois Orgeron

Cynthia Marie Bourgeois Orgeron, born on October 22, 1952, age 63, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Devoted wife of the late Lawrence A. Orgeron, Sr. Loving mother of Lawrence A. Orgeron, Jr. (Tammie), step-mother of Belinda Orgeron Nettles (John). A proud grandmother of Lance Orgeron (Kasey) and Tina Orgeron and a step-grandmother of Amanda Nettles and Christina Nettles. Great grandmother of Landyn Orgeron. Daughter of the late Rita Knoblock Bourgeois and Wellman Paul Bourgeois. Sister of Norris Bourgeois, Ronald Bourgeois and Joan Bourgeois Monk.

A native of New Orleans, Louisiana and a lifelong resident of Marrero, Louisiana.

“Cindy” enjoyed bowling, fishing, casinos, a great fan of Elvis, word search books, loved the soaps, and spending time with family and friends.

Relatives, friends and employees of Wal Mart on Manhattan Blvd. are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expy., Marrero, LA on Monday, March 7, 2016 at 11:00 am. Visitation on Sunday, March 6, 2016 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and on Monday, March 7, 2016 from 9:00 am until Mass time. Interment following in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, Louisiana.
