Claudia Trosclair was born September 8, 1922 and passed away April 2, 2018. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Trosclair; Daughter of the late Claudien and Louisa Rodrigue; Mother of Brenda Trosclair Dufrene (son-in-law the late Joseph Dufrene Jr); Grandmother to Keela Thibodeaux (Kermen Thibodeaux), Disia Danos, and Regina Tregre; Great Grandmother to Shanna T. Phillips (Fiancé Eric Bourgeois), Misty Morris (Partner Kayla Morris), Angie Thibodeaux, and Kasey Thibodeaux; Great Great Grandmother to Kerris Lirette (Phillip), Tee Lirette, Nevaeh Bonck, Jasey Thibodeaux, Evan Phillips, Jacob Bourgeois, and Jordyn Bourgeois; Sister of Raymond (Coon) Rodrigue and wife Rose Rodrigue, the late Claude Rodrigue (wife Bernadette Rodrigue), and the late Delton (Guy) Rodrigue. Born in Chackbay, LA and resided in Marrero, LA since 1938; Retired from West Jefferson Medical Center in 1984. Special thanks to Heart of Hospice’s nurses Janet Smith and Ruthann Bivalacqua for their dedicated care. Claudia was a faithful member of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church in Westwego, LA. There are no words great enough to describe the incredible woman that Claudia was. She was the rock of the family, she was a fighter, and the most selfless, caring, loving and the absolute strongest woman in her family’s eyes. Anyone that met her and had the privilege to know her, ending up loving her. She will be missed dearly by her family that she loved unconditionally and who also loved her unconditionally. Friends are encouraged to attend a funeral mass at 11:00am on Monday April 9, 2018. Visitation will be held from 8:00am-11:00am. All services will be held at WESTSIDE LEITZ-EAGAN FUNERAL HOME, 5101 WESTBANK EXPY MARRERO, LOUISIANA. Interment will follow at Restlawn Cemetery in Avondale.
