Catherine Lauricella LeBlanc (Catie) passed away Sunday, October 1st, 2017, at the age of 88. Beloved mother of W.J., Kirk, and Keith, mother in-law of Stacie, Pam and Darlene and sister of Rosemary Uzee (Frank). Loving grandmother of Megan, Trey, Jake and Jesse. She is preceded in death by her parents, Louise Stegner Lauricella and Frank Lauricella, her husband, Walter James Sr., her son Barry and six siblings: Francis "Big Bubby" (Elise), Gloria Ortego (George), Charles "Little Bubby" (Anna), Edward (Liz), Donald and Kevin. Catie was a dedicated employee of the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's office property tax division for over thirty years. Known for her laughter, fabulous Sunday dinners with menus designed to please each son's individual tastes; Catie was an avid shopper and was always delighted to give her treasures to family and friends. We will carry her memory in our hearts. Visitation will be held Saturday, October 7 from 9 to 11 with service at 11 at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home and burial proceeding at Westlawn Cemetery.
