Mona & family,  My heart goes out to you heavy and sad for your loss of husband, father, grandfather. He lived life determined to enjoy what time he had left no matter the consequences. He did not give up and fought with all he had with his determination and faith in God. He is gone from with world and that is sad. We all will be gone one day for there is no escaping death. Some of us go young and some of us go old. But age doesn’t matter because we will see the face of God and to me that’s a win-win gift for we all want to live eternity with our Lord and Savior. Memories are a gift to us to help us sustain the pain of our loss. He sure gave you that, Mona. He was unique in that he wanted to be remembered for his kindness his faith and his love of his family , friends and his country. For all of these qualities, I know you are proud. On my way to your house for a visit, I was deep in prayer and songs when the below message came to me from God. RIP pain free my brother you have earned your wings, fly high into heaven. 
"I LOVE YOU BIG LIKE THE WORLD"

The day you left us there was a meeting in Heaven like no other. Daddy it's me your Angel Monique Raquel Ledet (Daughter). Dad we have a place for you here in Heaven, right next to Grandma, Grandpa and me. For me life on earth wasn't meant to be, but Daddy you'll see Gods place for me. Here in Heaven my place has always been to serve God as your Angel. Welcome into Heaven dad, God has prepared me for this greeding with my arms open wide "I Love You Big Like the World". Daddy your job on earth is done come sit here with me. You will see Dad you have done a great job on earth preparing for me. Because of you mommy, sissy, and brother can move-on living life on earth, sit down here right next to me. Dad, God has you on a new journey here in Heaven and this job is not done, so dad tell me all about my family I left so many years ago. Daddy, I Love You come on over and sit down with me.

Uncle Carl was a great man with a heart of gold. I loved to watch him dance and boy did he love to dance. He was kind, giving, and would do anything for anyone who asked. He acted tough, but was actually a softy at heart.  He was madly in love with his wife, my Aunt Mona. His world revolved around his kids since the day they were born  and they were his whole life. I know he was extremely proud of the adults they have become. Becoming a grandfather turned his heart to absolute mush. He loved those little girls more that anyone could describe in words. This world will forever have a hole where Carl was that no one else could ever fill. He is dancing among the angels now. May he rest in peace until we need again.  

Mona, I've been thinking of you and the kids everyday! Sorry I won't be there for the celebration of life.  I pray God you will be🙏🏼with Mona, Angel, and CJ. They need to feel your presence because they lost their love one. Wrap your arms around them this weekend and every day. They need you God. I Love yall 🙏🏼❤

I am so very grateful that I was able to spend the last few hours with Carl and his family.  Thank you.  Carl was a very giving person.  During one of the hurricanes, Carl called me and asked if there was anything that I needed.  I told him not to worry about it.  He insisted and ask me again if there was anything that he could get me.  Well the paper products were rationed and I told him I could use some bathroom supplies.  He said ok.  I wasn't home at the time, but by the time I did get home, there it was, a very big pack.  He loved his dancing and enjoyed a good time with family and friends. 
Gone but never forgotten.  May God hold you in His loving arms!

Life on the dance floors of family gatherings won’t be the same without you dancing with all of your family. Uncle Carl we love you so much and miss you. Life just isn’t fair sometimes but feel comfort knowing you are not suffering anymore. And that you are with the rest of our family in Heaven looking at us, watching and protecting us. We love you BIG LIKE THE WORLD.

The day you left us our world changed forever. We will miss you and your loving kind heart always. Jerry and I will always treasure every moment we spent together and appreciate all the love you showed us over your short life.
