

Betty Mabel Bourgeois born on October 01, 1934, to the late August and Elizabeth Ledet passed away in her home surrounded by her family on January 27, 2021, at the age of 86. She is now reunited in heaven with her love of 61 years, Daniel Bourgeois Sr.
She is also preceded in death by two of her children; David Bourgeois (Melanie) and Joseph Bourgeois, and her siblings; Tony Ledet, Charlie Ledet, Whitney Ledet, Jerry Ledet, Ruby Bernard, Tinnie Kinnler and Lorraine DePascal.
Betty is survived and missed by her children; Daniel Bourgeois Jr. (Veronica), Evelyn Bourgeois Hue (Eric), and Buddy Bourgeois (Anette), her 16 grandchildren, and her numerous step grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Betty loved to have fun, often the life of the party. She always enjoyed Mardi Gras with her family and truly loved to dance, teaching her children and so many others how to do so. She was known as Grandma to all no matter who you were, but most of all Betty loved her family dearly. She alongside her husband, raised their five children effortlessly, caring for them daily. She was so proud of her growing family and especially proud of her Grandson serving in the United States Army, SFC Eric Hue.
She will truly be missed by all of those who have had any opportunity to know and love her and will especially be missed by her little dog coco, whom spent the last 19 years by her side.
Family and Friends are invited to attend a night visitation on Wednesday, February 03, 2021 beginning at 5 PM, and again on Thursday morning, February 04, 2021 for 10 AM followed by a Mass in our Chapel for 12 PM at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home located at 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero.
