August Lanier

August S. “Cuz” Lanier passed away on Friday, November 9, 2018 at the age of 85. He was the beloved husband of Mildred J. Lanier for over 65 years. Father of Gary Lanier and Jamie Lanier. Grandfather of Lance Lanier, Kevin Lanier, Lindsey Lanier, and Jarin Lanier. Great grandfather of Kyler Lanier. Son of the late Lawrence and Nellie Lanier. Brother of Sherwood Lanier, as well as the late A.V. Johnson and Cleo Lanier.

He was a longtime employee of Monsanto and resident of Luling. He loved traveling, fishing and spending time with his family. After his retirement, he and his wife traveled extensively. He will be remembered for his work ethic, sense of humor and love of everyone he met.

A Funeral Service will be held at First Baptist Church of Luling on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM. Interment will be in St. Charles Cemetery in Luling. Express condolences at www.westsideleitzeagan.com.
