Antoinette Eva Firmin

Antoinette Eva “Toni” Gauthier Firmin, age 81, entered peacefully into heaven on Thursday, December 21, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. The devoted wife of the late Dolphia Firmin, Sr. for 53 years. A loving mother of Shirley Firmin, Nina Firmin (partner Angela Firmin), Dolphia Firmin, Jr. (Cindy), Kenneth Firmin (Karen), Debra Firmin Bellott (Fiance’ Preston Duhon), Brenda Firmin Christensen (Christopher), Lynn Firmin Stamper (preceded by her spouse, Yancy) and Lisa Firmin Arceneaux (Dwayne). A proud grandmother twenty grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. Daughter of the late Viola Manuel Gauthier and Lester Gauthier. Sister of her twin brother, Anthony Gauthier (Janice), Eva Gauthier Guillory (the late Myron), Myron Gauthier (the late Marie), Eloise Gauthier Fontenot (the late Rickey), Terry Gauthier and a preceded in death by her brothers; Hubert Gauthier and Dale Gauthier. She is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, other relatives, her best friend Barbara and friends who will miss her dearly. The family would like to send their thanks to the staff of Heart of Hospice for their compassionate care given to “Ms. Toni” especially the nurses; Janet, Phillip and the CNA, Kay. “Toni” was a professional homemaker by trade who enjoyed reading and caring for her children and mostly spending time with her grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expy., Marrero, LA on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at 11:00 AM.
