Alton AJ Sidney Fabre Jr.

Alton Sidney Fabre, Jr. entered peacefully into heaven on Friday, May 13, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. A devoted husband of the late Sheron (Timmy) Ann Fabre and a loving father of Norbert Felix Fabre (Stacey), Yvette Fabre Burns (Merle), Jason Chad Fabre (Jonie), Jacob Sidney Fabre (Lacy) and Alton “Lil AJ” Sidney Fabre III. Son of Adelaide Adam Fabre and the late Alton Sidney Fabre, Sr. Brother of Sidonia “Sissy” Fabre Dufrene (Chris) and and the late Sidney Lawrence Fabre. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Stacy Fabre Guidry, son-in-law of the late Emma Dufrene Fabre. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A proud grandfather of Nobert, Jr., Scott, Holden, Jade, Jase, Scottie, Jacy, Lilycate and the late Joston Fabre.

Age 71, a native of New Orleans, Louisiana and a resident of Barataria, Louisiana and Poplarville, Mississippi. “AJ” was a fisherman by trade and a cowboy at heart. He was the past president of the Louisiana Fisherman Association. He worked tiredlessly to obtain continued assistance to the fishermen of Louisiana and the Gulf Coast Region.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expy., Marrero, LA on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 2:00 pm. Visitation from 9:00 am until Mass time. Interment will be private at a later date.
