Bill joined his heavenly Father on November 3, 2016 at 10:01am after a long battle with a very rare lymphoma called mycosis fungoides. He was born August 7,1933 in Montevideo, Minnesota where he attended public schools until he was old enough to join the Air Force. Bill served active duty on Okinawa during the Korean War and boxed on the boxing team.
Bill’s father came from Poland and changed his name to William Watson in America. His father married Helma Klyberg whose parents came from Norway. Bill remembered fondly his Polish and Norwegian heritage.
For more than thirty years Bill operated Community Water Conditioning in Minneapolis, Minnesota giving his many water treatment customers free service. He made many friends.
Bill was a deacon at First Baptist Church in Marlin TX. where he enjoyed serving the Lord. Since retiring in 2008, he has resided with his wife in Marlin.
Bill is survived by his wife Ramona Rowell Watson and his son Timothy Mark Watson, Larissa Colvin and their son Pierce James Watson of Tampa Florida. He is also survived by a brother Donald Watson and wife Emelaine of Belgrade, MN. and many nieces and nephews. His parents and sister, Marjorie Stamps, are deceased.
Bill’s burial site is Hillcrest Cemetery in Marlin, Texas.
