Tommy Thompson, 69, of Waxahachie, passed away, at his residence, on Monday, November 26, 2018. Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, November 30, 2018 at Waite Cemetery in Reagan, Texas. Located on Highway 252.
Mr. Thompson was born on July 23, 1949 in Dallas, Texas to James and Elizabeth Thompson. Tommy loved old cars, construction, and Harley-Davidson motorcycles. He built 6 family homes in his career as a General Contractor/ Supervisor. Tommy was known for his hard work ethic, but as much as he worked hard, he played hard too. His love for motorcycles and old cars took him to Sturgis motorcycle rally and Daytona, as well as swap meets, to look and acquire cars he could refurbish. He was loved by his family and friends and they feel blessed to have had him in their lives.
Tommy was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Linda Donahue; and brother, Larry Thompson.
Survivors include his wife, India Thompson; sons Jay Thompson and wife, Shannon, Troy Powell and wife, Angie; daughter, Taylor Thompson; was blessed with many grandchildren, Morgan Thompson, Raigan Thompson, Reagan Kingery, Rylee Kingery,Troy Powell Jr., Ethan Powell; brother David Thompson; sisters Bonnie Bishop, Terri Oliver; as well as several nieces and nephews.
