Services will be held at the Adams Funeral Home in Marlin, on Monday, November 30, 2015 at 1:00PM. The Reverend Don Fulton will be officiating the services. Interment will follow at the Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be, Sunday, November 29th from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at the funeral home.
Paul was born on June 29, 1921 in the community of Eloise to Joe and Joanna (Abate) Lombardo. He served his country in the United States Army during WW II. Paul married Faye Lee Brown on August 14, 1945, and they celebrated over 66 wonderful years together until her death on June 26, 2012. After retiring from the VA in 1975, he opened Paul’s Auto Sales, of which he owned and operated for over 50 years. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW, and a lifetime member of the DAV, where he served as Commander. Paul was a member of the New Salem Baptist Church.
Paul was preceded in death by his parent, his wife, and ten brothers and sisters.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter; Dianna Blakeney and her husband, Jerry of Fate, sons; Paul Wayne Lombardo of Sargent; and Joe Lombardo and his wife, Ruth of Hewitt; brother-in-law, Roy Beckner; sister-in-law, Providence Lombardo; grandchildren, David Paul Monday, Debbie Hanvey, and her husband, Pete, Hayley Lombardo, Annie Lombardo, Joseph Sharp and Joe Paul Lombardo; six great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the Providence Hospice Staff, Senior Care of Hewitt and Dr. David Fedro for their love and care they gave Mr. Lombardo.
