Patricia was a longtime member of the First Methodist Church of Marlin and truly appreciated her Church family. She graduated as valedictorian of her class from Marlin High School in 1948. Following graduation, she went to work for the Oltorf Insurance Agency, where she worked until 2013, retiring at the age of 82. She also held the position of secretary of the Marlin Service Unit of the Salvation Army.
The light of her life was always her family, especially her daughter, Rosalee Adams Schraeder, son-in-law Glyn Schraeder and grandson, Michael Schraeder.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Rowena Lamson Adams, brother Ronald Lamson, sister Virginia Mae "Cookie" Wetzel, brother-in-law Robert Lee Wetzel, sister Lois Roberson, brother-in-law Harvey Roberson, nephew Russell Roberson, niece Gloria Jean Fikes, and nephew Rodney Lee Adams.
She survived by her daughter Rosalee Schraeder, son-in-law Glyn Schraeder, grandson Dr. Michael Schraeder and his fiance Sarah Rutan and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
A visitation for Patricia will be held Thursday, September 19, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Adams Funeral Home, 129 Coleman Street, Marlin, TX 766612812. A funeral service will occur Thursday, September 19, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 129 Coleman Street, Marlin, TX 766612812. A graveside will occur Thursday, September 19, 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Hillcrest Cemetery, 266 FM147, Marlin, TX 76661.
