Lupe Tovar

Lupe Tovar was called home on Thursday, February 23, 2023, in Marlin, TX, at the age of 59. Lupe was called home while peacefully at his home, after spending a beautiful day with his parents. Celebration of Life will be at 1:00 pm Friday, March 3, 2023, at the Primera Iglesia Bautista Church with Kevin Brown officiating. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 2, 2023, at Adams Funeral Home. Lupe was born on December 11, 1963, in Dallas, TX, to Camillo and Mary (Rosas) Tovar. He graduated from Marlin High School in 1983 and made many lifelong friends on the way. He worked for H.E.B. in the produce section for many years and a longtime residence of Falls County.

Lupe was one of a kind. He dedicated his life to God, his son, grandson, nephews, nieces, family members, and loved ones. Putting himself before others, making people laugh, always lending a helping hand was how he showed his love. Everyone loved him, Lupe always displayed a sweet, kind spirit and good heart. He would give you the shirt off his back or his last dollar because that was the type of man he was. Always singing and laughing with all he encountered.

Lupe loved to help his parents do yard work, hunt, and fish. He loved children and animals. His favorite holiday was Halloween. He also loved to eat tortillas, and well pretty much everything. One of his best qualities was that he would always leave you with a smile.

Lupe was preceded in death by his son Lupe Tovar, brother Joseph Tovar, nephew Francisco Tovar, sister-in-law Elida Tovar

Survivors include his son Cisco Tovar of Marlin TX; grandson Isaac Tovar of Waco Tx; parents Camillo and Mary Tovar of Marlin TX; brother Camillo Tovar Jr.; sister Janette Galvan and husband Philip Galvan; nephews Camillo Tovar III of Marlin TX; Joseph Tovar of Marlin TX; Roman Galvan of Marlin TX; Ivan Galvan of Marlin Tx; Jovani Tovar of Waco TX; Damian Hernandez of Marlin TX; nieces Angela Galvan of Marlin TX; Kayla Galvan of Marlin TX; Cheyanne Tovar of Waco TX; Isabella Tovar of Marlin TX; Juliani Tovar of Waco Tx; as well as a host of family and friends who will love and cherish him forever.

Pallbearers will be; Cisco Tovar, Roman Galvan, Jorge Hernandez, Kevin Montoya, John Williams, Brian Trevino, Danny Sedillo and Gabriel Martinez.

Honorary Pallbearers include; Isaac Tovar, Ivan Galvan, Damian Hernandez, Camillo Tovar Jr., Camillo Tovar III, Philip Galvan, Janette Galvan, Cheyanne Tovar and Isabella Tovar.
