Genovevo Moreno Muniz

Genovevo Moreno Muniz, age 71, passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2022 in Marlin, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Gregory McLaughlin officiating. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at Adams Funeral Home.

Genovevo was born on January 26, 1951 to Francisco and Dolores Moreno in Guanajuato, Mexico. He was a longtime resident of Marlin, Texas. Genovevo married the love of his life, Maria G. Camargo on November 16, 1970. They celebrated 52 years of marriage together. Genovevo was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He worked as a mechanic for Falls County Road and Bridge and retired after 21 years. Genovevo enjoyed spending time with his family and his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Guadalupe Galvan, and brother, Tomas Moreno.

Survivors include his loving wife, Maria G. Moreno; sons, Francisco Moreno and wife, Celia Saldana, Benjamin Moreno, Jorge Moreno, Elias Moreno and wife, Jasmine Mozee; daughters, Blanca Moreno and Celeste Moreno; grandchildren: Jose Luis, Alexis, Carmen, Ysait, Sol, Luna, Christian, Chabela, Emiliano, Alia, Jayden, Nuggett and Elena; 8 great-grandchildren; siblings, Jesus Moreno, Antonio Moreno, Lucha Cubilla, Sara Calderon, Mariela Becerra, and Dolores Flores; and numerous nieces and nephews.
