Darline J. Lanfer, 91, of Marlin entered into rest Saturday, June 13, 2015. Mass of Christian burial will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church with Father Ron Feather as celebrant. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, on Wednesday, June 17th at Adams Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM.
Darline was born on July 15, 1923 in Wellington, Texas to Charles and Beulah (Tennison) Jackson. Mrs. Lanfer was an active member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and a past president of the PCCW. She loved playing Bridge with her friends but her true love was her family whom she cherished so much. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, Al Lanfer, her parents, step mother; Edith Jackson and her brother; Carroll Jackson.
Survivors include her sons; Joe Lanfer and wife, Elaina of Bedford, Texas and Tom Lanfer and wife, Debra of Richmond, Texas, brother; Charles Jackson, grandchildren; Rachel Blaylock and her husband, Scott and Laura Boldt and her husband, Clayton and great grandchildren; Madison Blaylock, Garrett Blaylock and Ryan Boldt. Darline’s family will always remember her as a wonderful cook, dedicated wife, incredible mother, and very special “Mema”. She will be truly missed.
