Danny Lee Nutt

Danny was born September 13,1951 in Marlin, Texas to Ray and Opal Nutt.

Danny was a licensed plumber for 57 years and was known all over Texas as a man who took pride in his work, had exceptional skills and his dedication to his profession set him apart from other plumbers. Outside of work, he enjoyed watching old westerns and action movies. He liked rock and roll music and if you got in the car with him, chances were he was listening to classic rock on the radio. Danny’s artistic side came out in his drawings, especially beautiful landscapes and in his guitar playing, which he did in his younger years. Most of all, he loved his family, especially his mom, who he cared for.

People were drawn to Danny because of his quick wit, humor and feisty spirit. He was blessed with many friends and if he ran into you somewhere, he would take the time to stop and visit. His friends were important to him, he cherished them and thought of them as family.

Danny is preceded in death by his father, Ray Nutt; paternal grandparents, Pearl and Annie Nutt; maternal grandparents, Romie and Jewell Malone and nephew, Christopher Nutt.

He is survived by his mother, Opal Nutt of Marlin, Texas; daughter, Debbie Irwin of Marlin, Texas; son Jason Getts and spouse, Tanya of Palm Bay, Florida; son Derek Nutt of Tennessee Colony, Texas; brother, Dennis Nutt and spouse Martha of Woodway, Texas; sister, Dianne Nutt Edwards and spouse Gary of Ft. Worth, Texas; granddaughter, Kaylee Saez of Palm Bay, Florida.; grandson, Dwayne Nutt of Marlin; niece, Denise Nutt Reed and spouse, Thomas of Tyler, Texas; nephew, Josh Edwards and spouse, Shonda of Corsicana, Texas; nephew, Jake Edwards and spouse, Michele of Sevierbille, Tennessee; nephew, Cody Wilson and spouse, Erin of Little Elm, Texas; nephew, Cory Wilson of Ft. Worth; niece, Cheyenne Kane and spouse Pat of Sachse, Texas and many beloved great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.

Graveside services will be held Saturday May 3, 2025 at 11am, Hillcrest Cemetery, located at 206 Hwy 147, Marlin, Texas. A Celebration of Life will follow immediately after the graveside service at Oak Pavillion, 5825 Hwy. 7 East, Marlin, Texas.

Honorary Pallbearers are: Cody Wilson, Cory Wilson, Thomas Reed, Nicholas Reed, Wesley Wilson, David Nutt, Daniel Nutt, Garland (Bubba) Nutt and Ronnie Nutt.
