Bobbie Jean Hall Boucher, 92, passed away Monday, October 25, 2021 at home while living with her daughter in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Adams Funeral Home, 129 Coleman St., Marlin, Texas followed by interment at Calvary Cemetery in Marlin. Family and friends will gather at First Baptist Church, 309 Coleman St. in Marlin following the interment.
Bobbie Jean was born on January 10, 1929 in Mangham, Louisiana, the daughter of Robert Lee and Ella Jane Mapp Hall. Her paternal grandparents were Edward Haram and Sallie Beal Hall. Her maternal grandparents were William Pryor and Dora Helen Laird Mapp. She graduated from high school in Welsh, Louisiana as valedictorian of her class in 1946. Bobbie married Wallace Vernon Boucher, son of Lionel Victor “Leo” and Edna Benoit Boucher of Welsh, Louisiana on November 1, 1947 after his service in the U.S. Army. She graduated from Baylor University with a degree in Education in 1966, then taught elementary school for 26 years in Marlin and retired in 1993. Bobbie was an active member of the First Baptist Church and a volunteer at the Samaritan House in Marlin.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, her sister Barbara Elaine Tannehill Hebert, her beloved husband Wallace on December 29, 1961, her daughter Evelyn Tillack, her son Steve Boucher, and three grandchildren Jessica and Jenny Tillack and Trevor Bloodgood.
Bobbie is survived by her brothers Robert Lawrence Hall of Mandeville, Louisiana and Charles Bernard Hall of Chesnee, South Carolina and her sister Margaret Helen Hall of DeSoto, Texas; her daughters Phyllis Wolf of Ava, Missouri and Faye Bloodgood of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; her daughter-in-law Mrs. Frankie Boucher of Beaumont, Texas and son-in-law David Tillack of Kingston, Oklahoma; Seven grandchildren: Jason Wolf and Sophia Wolf Cook; Monica and Michele Boucher; Tanner and Riley Bloodgood and Stephanie Bloodgood Wilson; and Ten great-grandchildren: David, Michael, Emma, and Isabella Wolf; Jacob, Noah, and Madelyn Cook; Ariana Martin; Skylar Banks and Rory Wilson.
