Rod Mautz, 53 of Markle, passed away Friday evening, November 29, 2024 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. Rod had attended Norwell High School. He had worked at Helena Agri Chemicals as a warehouse manager for over 25 years. Rod was a Harley guy and loved to ride his bike. He also enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids. He liked to go fishing, hunting for mushrooms and arrowheads. He will be greatly missed by his yorkie sidekick Willow.
Rod was born on January 16, 1971 in Bluffton, the son of Robert and Mona (Masterson) Mautz.
He was united in marriage to Kari Broyles on November 18, 2023 in Wabash, Indiana after being together for 27 years. His wife survives.
Additional survivors include two daughters: Regan (Nathen) Kohnke of Wabash, Halie (James) West of Huntington; two sons: Drake (Tonya) Mautz of Wabash and Keegan Mautz of Markle; three sisters: Kim (Robbie) Raab of Markle, Nikki (Mike) Tomei of Angola and Danielle Byrd of Markle; a brother: Ryan (Nicole) Mautz of Markle; his father and stepmother: Robert and Linda Mautz of Markle; his mother: Mona Byrd of Markle; his grandmother: Marjorie Mautz of Markle and nine grandkids.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024 from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee Street, Markle, Indiana.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024 following the visitation at 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
Interment will be at the Markle Cemetery in Markle, Indiana.
