Nancy L. Steed, 75 of Markle passed away on April 12, 2022 at Lutheran Hospital. Nancy was a 1965 graduate of Kouts High School in Kouts, Indiana. She attended IPFW in Fort Wayne. Nancy was a homemaker. She had worked at Essex and United Technologies for several years. She loved to travel, camping at Jellystone Campground and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Nancy was born on March 7, 1947 in Valparaiso, Indiana, the daughter of Carl and Maxine (Ward) Church. Her parents preceded her in death.
She was united in marriage to Terry R. Steed, Sr. on October 15, 1988 in Fort Wayne. Terry survives in Markle.
Additional survivors include two daughters: Shellie Steed of Stanford, TX, Rosalee Mellon of Warsaw; four stepsons: Terry R. Steed, Jr. of Muncie, Gregory P. Steed of Markle, Gary W. Steed of Roanoke, Randy T. Steed of Fort Wayne; 24 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
A daughter, seven sisters and three brothers preceded Nancy in death.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2022 from 12:00 pm – 1 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee Street, Markle, Indiana.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2022 following visitation at 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
Interment will take place at the Uniontown Cemetery in Wells County.
