Jerry R. Stephenson
March 11, 1943 – August 12, 2024

Jerry R. Stephenson, 81 of Zanesville, passed away Monday afternoon August 12, 2024 at Stillwater Hospice in Fort Wayne. Jerry was an automotive / diesel mechanic and later an aviation mechanic for a combined 50 plus years. He owned and operated Quarter Turn Aviation, working on the T-6 aircraft at the Huntington Airport. Jerry was a 1961 graduate of Swink high school in Colorado. He had attended the Zanesville Church of God and loved to fly and fish. He was an RC aircraft enthusiast and dabbled in woodworking in his later years.
Jerry was born on March 11, 1943 in Rocky Ford, Colorado, a son of the late Frank and Mary Jane (Perkins) Stephenson.
He was united in marriage to Judy C. Schrock on November 1, 1963 in Ordway, Colorado. Judy survives.
Additional survivors include - two sons: Terry Stephenson of Zanesville and Corey (Jill) Stephenson of Lebanon, TN; a granddaughter: Jasmin (Justin) Funderburg of Huntington; two great grandsons: Jude & Jasper; and a sister: Susan Isbell of LaJunta, Colorado.
He was preceded in death by a brother: Bill Lorenz.
There will be private family services at a later date.
Preferred memorials are to the family to carryout Jerry's final wishes. Checks can be written out to Judy Stephenson and sent in care of Myers Funeral Home, P.O. Box 403, Markle, IN 46750.
