James Crago

Thomas James “Jim” Crago, 86 of Markle, passed away Monday morning May 1, 2023 at River Terrace in Bluffton. Jim was employed by the Dana Corporation of Fort Wayne where he retired after forty years of service. After retirement, he enjoyed working in the yard and spending time with family. Jim was a 1955 graduate of Huntington Township High School, where he participated in athletics. He excelled in Basketball and passed on his love of the game down to his two sons and grandchildren. Jim was born on July 24, 1936 in Huntington, a son of Laymon and Esther (Shively) Crago. He was united in marriage to Fondra Funderburg on June 9, 1959. His wife of 63 years survives. Additional survivors include two sons: Curt (Joy) Crago and Chad Crago; three grandchildren: Cassie (Jaron) Havens, Caleb (Hayley) Crago and Chandra (Chad) Eppard; four great grandchildren: Owen, Lane, Cade and Ella Havens. A private family graveside will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023 at the Markle Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made out to Elara Hospice in care of Myers Funeral Home, P.O.
