Imogene L. (Taylor) Roebuck, 97 of Huntington and formerly of Zanesville, passed away on Tuesday evening October 29, 2024 at the Heritage Pointe of Huntington. As a young girl she worked at Kresge's Dime Store in downtown Fort Wayne, and as a young woman she was an employee of Indiana and Michigan Electric Company in Fort Wayne for 15 years. Imogene was a member of Crescent Avenue United Methodist Church and then Zanesville United Methodist Church. She was also a dedicated supporter of the Lions Club of which her husband was a member. They traveled extensively to many beautiful locations for Lions Club Conventions. Imogene enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, traveling, cooking, baking delicious cookies and desserts, hosting wonderful Christmas morning breakfasts, and playing many card games, such as Kings' Corners.
Imogene was born on January 7, 1927 a daughter of the late George and Clara (Byall) Taylor.
She was united in marriage to Donald C. Roebuck on July 12, 1958. Don preceded her in death in 1998.
She will be fondly remembered by her daughter: Pam (Mark) Corbat of Markle; a son: Randal (Sonja) Roebuck of Fort Wayne; a brother: George Taylor of Muncie; a grandson: Mitchell (Emily) Corbat of McCordsville; a granddaughter: Shelby Corbat of Markle; a grandson: Brandon Roebuck of Huntertown; and her very dear friend: Krista (Steve) May, as well as by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a brother: Edward Taylor.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 4, 2024 from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee Street, Markle, Indiana.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at 11:00 am with one hour of visitation prior to the service at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel.
Interment will be at the Hoverstock Cemetery in Zanesville.
