Donald “Don” L. Pennock, 74 of Markle, passed away Friday afternoon, January 19, 2024, at The Waters of Huntington. Don was a Tool & Die maker for 35 years. He was a 1967 graduate of Maple Valley High School in Michigan and had attended the SAM'S Technical College in Fort Wayne. Don served his Tool & Die apprenticeship at CTS in Berne, Indiana. He enjoyed woodworking and going to tractor and engine shows. Don was a special prayer warrior for his Fellowship Group and many others. Most importantly, Don loved the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and is awaiting the coming of the Messiah.
Don was born on October 1, 1949, in Charlotte, MI, the son of the late Earl R. and Clara E. (Gillett) Pennock.
He was united in marriage to Judy (Entenman) Houdyshell on March 12, 1982, in Markle. Judy survives.
Additional survivors include three sons: Scott Pennock of Anamosa, IA, Troy (Trish) Houdyshell of Gaylord, MI and Chad Houdyshell of Harrison Township, MI; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren; two sisters: Lois (Ross) Brown of Bellevue, MI and Leigh (Woody) Haroff of East Leroy, MI.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister: Linda Jean Pennock.
Private Family graveside services will take place at the Elm Grove Cemetery in Bluffton at a later date.
