Alice A. Flum, 80 of Markle passed away at 2:15 pm on Sunday, December 27, 2015 at Markle Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. Alice was a 1953 graduate of East Union Center High School. She retired from Lincoln Life after several years of service. She was a member of the Zanesville United Methodist Church for over 50 years where she was formerly a youth sponsor and had sung in the choir.
Alice was born on May 4, 1935 in Wells County, the daughter of Jay J. and Doris C. (Burgess) Fritz.
She was united in marriage to Florian J. “Bud” Flum on September 6, 1953 in Zanesville. Her husband survives.
Additional survivors include two daughters: Susan (Ted) Graft of Uniondale; Sandra Flum of Greenwood; a son: Phillip (Shirley) Flum of Zanesville; two sisters: Lois Golden of Markle; Ruth (Barry) Greulach of Markle; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: Bob Fritz and Jerry Fritz.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at the Zanesville United Methodist Church, 11811 N. Wayne Street, Zanesville, Indiana.
Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at 11:00 am following visitation at the Zanesville United Methodist Church with Pastor Paul Rogers officiating.
