Pamela Ivey Clark Chapman, 65, of Marion, went home to be with our Lord on the morning of Monday, January 9, 2012 after several years of declining health. She was born October 15, 1946 to the late Lloyd Alvin Clark and Violet Radford Clark. She was a nurse at Grace Hospital for 16 years and a loyal member of Landmark Independent Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, friend, and a loving wife of Samuel Chapman. The couple resided at 45 Matilda Ave.
She is survived by her husband, Sam Chapman, of the home; one son, William B. Chapman, wife Rhonda, of Casar, NC; two daughters, Loretta Lytle, husband David, and of Old Fort, Beverly “ Pammy” Bartlett, of Marion; step-son, Matthew Chapman; five brothers, Wayne Clark, wife Barb, of Marion, Alvin Clark, of Valdese, Clifford Clark, wife Helen, of Marion, Leon Clark, of Marion, Eddie Clark, wife Seglinde, of Fayetteville; one sister, Faye Chapman, of Marion; Three step-brothers, Frank Williams, wife Corlene, Charles Simpson, Ray Williams, wife Pat; four step sisters, Ann Vance, husband, Robert, Gloria Wilson, husband, Gary, Nancy Bradford, husband Phillip, Joyce Hawkins, husband Dennis, all of Marion; nine grandchildren, Kristi and Joey Bartlett, William Chapman, Rylie, Dylan and Dawson Lytle, and Nathaniel, Brandon, and Sarah Toney; and special niece, Gracie Chapman.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at 2:00 PM at McCall Memorial Chapel, at Kirksey Funeral Home in Marion. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery.
