Nellie Epps Washburn

Marion, NC

Nellie E. Washburn, 86, died at Grace Hospital on Sunday morning, May 16, 2010.

She was a member of Marion Church of Christ and a retired employee of Marion Manufacturing Company, where she worked as a weaver.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Washburn, and her mother and father, Henry and Bessie Dixon Epps.

She is survived by two sons, Charles Washburn and wife, Darlene, and Freddy Washburn and wife, Teresa; and two daughters, Gail Pittman and husband, Richard, and Kay Renfro and husband, Ronnie, all of Glenwood. Seven Grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren also survive.

The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 18, in the McCall Memorial Chapel of Kirksey Funeral Home in Marion. The Rev. Will Winchester will officiate.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Burial will follow in Glenwood Community Cemetery.
