Jessie Mark Sparks

She was born August 14, 1925 in McDowell County, NC to the late Mark Parker and Nora Huffman Parker. Mrs. Sparks was a member of Chapel Hill Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Jabase Sparks; one brother, Robert Parker and one sister, Juanita McPeters.

Surviving are two children, Arnold Sparks and wife, Linda and Charlotte Gibson both of Marion; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Everyone was very special to Mrs. Sparks.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 in McCall Memorial Chapel at Kirksey Funeral Home in Marion, NC with Rev. Milton Hollifield officiating. A Committal Service will follow in the chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Chapel Hill Cemetery.
