Helen Kusworm Gassman, age 73, of Palm Beach Gardens, FL and most recently Hendersonville, NC, passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at Pardee General Hospital after a courageous battle with lung cancer. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Helen was born September 4, 1938 in Dayton, OH to the late Sydney G. Kusworm, Jr. and Doris Muslow Kusworm. She was a member of Champion Hills C.C. in Hendersonville, NC and Frenchman’s Reserve C.C. in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Helen loved golf, cards, being with friends and family, traveling and living life to the fullest. She touched so many with her kind heart, sharp wit and fiery spirit.
Left behind to cherish Helen’s memory are her beloved husband of 55 years, Dr. Philip P. Gassman; three children, Debbie Cohen of Atlanta, GA, Susie Bush and husband, Craig of Denver, CO and Flip Gassman and wife, Leigh of Miami, FL; and six grandchildren, Allan Cohen, Andrew Cohen, Kevin Bush, Bradford Bush, Ross Gassman and Grant Gassman.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 PM on Sunday, August 26, 2012 at Temple Judea (5500 Granada Blvd. Coral Gables, FL 33146) with Rabbi Eddie Goldberg officiating. A memorial service will be held in Hendersonville, NC at a later date.
