Eric Shane Ballew, age 41, of Marion, NC, died Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at McDowell Hospital.
Eric will always be remembered for his loving nature and his wonderful smile, that lit up his eyes. He had a great sense of humor that he shared with many friends. Eric enjoyed traveling with his longtime caregiver and best friend, Scotty. He also enjoyed watching Dukes of Hazzard, country music, going to the movie theatre and going to his church, Upper Room Tabernacle of Jesus.
A Celebration of Eric’s Life will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, January 28, 2016 in McCall Memorial Chapel at Kirksey Funeral Home in Marion, NC with Rev. Danny Lonon officiating. Burial will follow at McDowell Memorial Park. Receiving of friends will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
