Dorothy M Harris

Mrs. Harris was born in Buncombe County to the late John Thomas Myers and Agnes Holcomb Myers.

She was a member of Cherry Springs Baptist Church in Old Fort, NC.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Harley Mack Harris, two brothers and one sister.

Surviving Mrs. Harris are her son; Sam Harris of Old Fort, Dennis Harris of Marion, Kenneth Harris and wife Debbie of Maiden, daughters; Judy Lavender and husband Gary of Old Fort, Kay Justice and husband David of Nebo, sister; Juanita Gaddy of Marion, grandchildren; Angie Hardee, Gary Lavender, Jonathan Lavender, Christa Waterhouse, Jessie Harris, Jeffrey Stevens, Rebecca Matthews, Sheila Parks, Jill Hensley, Jake Harris, Robbie Harris, Colton Harris, Susie Harris and twenty great grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Kirksey Funeral Home, Marion North Carolina

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Grandsons will be serving as pallbearers for Mrs. Harris.

Burial will follow the service at McDowell Memorial Park.

In Lieu of flowers memorial may be made to Care Partners Hospice and Palliative Care McDowell, 575 Airport Rd., Marion, NC 28752
