Charles Thomas Hardy

Charles Thomas Hardy, 67, of Nebo, passed away Thursday, December 23, 2010 at Sunrise Rehabilitation and Care. He was born in McDowell County to the late Charles Tate and Eula Virginia Hardy of Nebo. Mr. Hardy was a member of St. John’s AME Church.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Hardy.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by a daughter, Tosha Rutherford of Nebo; brothers, Billy and Tony Hardy of Nebo; sisters, Dorothy Carson, Linda Rutherford, both of Nebo, Nora Hardy of Upper Marlboro, MD, Irene Wilkerson of Morganton; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.

Services will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at 12:00 PM at St. John’s AME Church in Nebo with Rev. Deborah Smith officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Kirksey Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family.
