Zona Holliman Smith

Zona Holliman Smith, age 86, of Marietta, Georgia passed away on May 23, 2019. She was born in 1933 in McIntyre, Georgia, daughter of the late Clara Holliman. She graduated from Miller High School in Macon, Georgia where she participated in marching band as the majorette captain. After high school, she attended Mercer College in Macon, Georgia. She was a dedicated housewife and mother and worked for Hanover Insurance for 19 years.

Zona was a member of Eastside Baptist church. She enjoyed gardening and cooking, but mainly she enjoyed spending time with her family. She was always giving and doing things for others. Her time and energy was always focused on others instead of herself.

Zona was dearly loved by Phillip Smith, her husband of 62 years, her children Donna Hancock (Roy Hancock) and Ron Smith (Joan Smith), six grandchildren Shelly Faulkenberry (Ian Faulkenberry), Matt Fraser (Joy Fraser), Dawn Fraser, Nathan Hancock, Jordan Smith, Hunter Smith, and one great grandchild Olivia Faulkenberry.

The family will receive guests between the hours of 2:00pm and 3:00pm on Sunday, March 26th, 2019 at Eastside Baptist Church, Marietta, Georgia. A memorial service will follow at 3:00pm.
