On Sunday morning November 6, 2011 in Marietta, Georgia the heart that was so big, so kind so generous and so spiritual belonging to Mrs. Toni Sabrina Scott at the age 69 beat for the last time. She was born in Roanoke, Virginia and she moved to Brooklyn, New York at a young age. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Alfonzo Scott, sons Gerard A. Scott and Glenn S. Scott and his wife Geneva, grandchildren Jayda and Nathan Scott. Toni was preceded in death by her father Wyatt Oliver Stockton, mother Emma Staten and step father James Staten, brothers Victor Stockton and Stanley Stockton and sister Barbara Shaw. She was blessed to have 2 sisters-in-law Olivia Washington and Rosealie Johnson and 2 brothers-in-law William Washington and Leon Simmons, and 1 aunt Alberta Greene. Her blessings continued with a host of nieces, nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews. Although she did not have a biological daughter her favorite niece is Rosetta Shaw ‘aka’ Rosie who was the apple of her eye and a daughter with her vision. She told everybody how proud she was of her and her accomplishments in life. Her passion outside of family was knitting, crocheting and needlepointing. The passion for her craft permeated though each project she encountered. The Craft shows were the highlight of her hobbies. Although, Toni was an avid shopper her main store was Talbots. She enjoyed decorating with her impeccable taste. She also loved Faith Lutheran Church and serving on the Lutheran Woman’s Missionary League (LWML). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at 11:00am at Faith Lutheran Church, Marietta. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at 1:30 at Georgia National Cemetery. H.M. Patterson & Son Canton Hill is honored to be serving the family of Mrs. Scott.
