Tom Willoughby died peacefully on January 26, 2014 after a battle with ALS. He was born on March 3, 1941 in Jellico, Tennessee. He was preceeded in death by his parents: Don and Modena Willoughby. After graduating from the University of Tennessee, Tom began a 40 year career in sales. He was an avid UT football fan and never missed a game. He was a member of St. Peter and St. Paul Episcopal Church in Marietta.
Tom is survived by his wife, Holly Hosch Willoughby and his sons and grandchildren: Thomas (Chip) Willoughby Jr., Liam, Ethan and Mason Willoughby of Knoxville, Tennessee; Miles and Ashley Willoughby, Anabelle, Caroline, Blake and Cole Willoughby of Marietta; Henry Lane of Athens, William Lane, Emily, Hannah and Jackson Lane of Marietta and his sister, Donna Willoughby Probst (John) of Marietta.
A memorial service will be on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 1:00pm in the chapel of H.M. Patterson & Son Canton Hill. There will be a reception after the servie.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like for donations to be made to the ALS research foundation at Emory ALS Center, Emory Univ Office of Gift Records, 1762 Clifton Rd. N. E . Suite 1400, Atlanta, Georgia 30322.
