Dr. Timothy Francis Schaefer

Tim was a beloved son of the late John "Jack" Schaefer and the late Gretchen Schaefer. He was also preceded in death by his brothers Andrew, Matt, and Mike Schaefer. Tim is survived by Jack's wife, Shirley, and his siblings John (Julie) Schaefer, Jerry (Maria) Schaefer, Marty (Jill) Schaefer, Megan (Dan) Fischer and Tricia (Bob) Wilson. Tim is also survived by his adult children, Kate (Tim) Schaefer, Alex (Rachel) Schaefer, and Mattie Schaefer, as well as their mother, Lorene (John) Schaefer. He is also survived by his deeply beloved wife, Jacynthe Girard, and their infant son, James Schaefer.

Tim passed away on January 9th, 2020 at the age of 54. He lived a life incredibly full of adventure and love. Tim graduated high school from Indian Hill in Cincinnati and college from Kentucky Wesleyan. He was a teacher for a short time before going back to school to earn an M.D. from University of Cincinnati. He spent his medical career practicing as an OB/GYN, and he spent most of his career happily employed through Wellstar Cobb Hospital. Tim’s family will receive friends at Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 2000 Cobb Parkway SE, Marietta, Georgia, 30060, on Saturday, January 18th, 2020, from 1:00 until 4:00 o'clock. A Celebration of Life, will be held in the Chapel of Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home, at 4:00 o'clock.
