On this 18th day of April, 2012, Terri Lee Porter passed through life. “Grieve not for me, nor search in vain, for peace I’ve found, in my home above. “ Terri was the daughter of the late Glen W. and Bettie H. Porter of Marietta, GA. Her brother was the late Joel G. Porter. Terri is survived by her niece and nephew, Alisha K. Porter and Jonathan S. Porter and Terri’s aunts and uncles: Lillian H. Kelley, Janee H. Robbins, Margie H. Disharoon, Rev David and Martha H. Grusnick, Sandra H. Parnell, and Richard and Sandra Smith. Terri had many cousins and friends. All meant so much to her. Terri was a member of Rose Lane Baptist Church, Marietta, GA. She was a graduate of Wheeler High School. She was a part time graduate of Chattahoochee Vo-Tech nurses training and worked at St. Joseph Hospital. Terri graduated from Lynn Chris Ann School of Charm and Modeling and also modeled for Saul’s Department Store, Davis Cafeteria and for Sears Roebuck & Co. She was a graduate of Majestic Color Labs Commercial Photography in Cleveland, Tenn. She was a member of the American Auxiliary Unit 29. “Grieve not for me for gone I’m not, but born again to eternal life.” Terri was very special and loved by all!. Services will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 1:00pm in the chapel at H.M. Patterson and Son, Canton Hill Chapel, 1157 Old Canton Road NE, Marietta, GA 30068. Interment will follow at Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery, 200 Cobb Parkway, US 41 & Windy Hill Road, Marietta, GA. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 20, 2012 from 6:00-8:00pm.
