North Central is where Steve met his wife of 52 years, Marsha. They met in the ninth grade and their first date was to a social club party. Steve graduated from North Central in 1965. Steve continued his education at Indiana University, from which he graduated in 1969 with a BS in Business. He and Marsha were married in December of that same year. Kemper took the family from Indianapolis, IN to Orlando, FL to Fremont, CA to Hingham, MA and ended up in Atlanta, GA. After a short retirement from Kemper, he worked for three smaller insurance companies in Atlanta and finally retired for good in 2011.

Steve will be remembered as a devoted husband, caring father, proud father-in-law, doting grandfather, loving brother, supportive uncle and loyal friend. Steve had a great sense of humor and a quick wit. He was an avid sports fan, a voracious reader, a history buff, a trivia buff and had a deep sense of pride for his family, his country and the U.S. Military.
