

Mrs. Borman was born in Passaic, NJ and lived there prior to moving to Marietta in 1974. She was predeceased by Francis J. (Bud) Borman to whom she was married for 63 years. Survivors include three daughters - Dolores (Dee Dee) Borman of Atlanta, GA; Diane Borman of Summit, NJ; Mary Anne Shafer and son-in-law Ed Shafer of Marietta, GA; two grandchildren - Stephanie Shafer of NJ and Matthew Shafer of Marietta. She was the last surviving sibling of two sisters, Joan and Laurie Zygmunt and three brothers, Bruno, Walter and Chester Zygmunt, all of New Jersey.
Stephanie was a longtime parishioner and volunteer at Transfiguration Catholic Church in Marietta - including the Friendship Circle and Serra Club. While in NJ she founded Brownie Troop #35 and served as its leader for over 25 years.
The family will receive family and friends 3:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at H.M. Patterson & Son Canton Hill Chapel in Marietta. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at Transfiguration Catholic Church in Marietta, followed by entombment at Arlington Memorial Park in Sandy Springs.
In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to: American Diabetes Association or St. Vincent de Paul Society at Transfiguration Catholic Church, 1815 Blackwell Rd, NE, Marietta, GA 30066.
