Ryan Patrick Kowitz

Ryan was born November 24, 2003 to Dave Kowitz and Stephanie McMahan. He just finished his second year at LSU after graduating from Walton High School (GA) in 2022. While in Baton Rouge, Ryan was an active fraternity member in Sigma Chi and worked at LSU Alumni Hall. He also spent the past 4 summers working at Center Ice Arena in Sandy Springs (GA).

Ryan grew up loving the sport of baseball as he played at East Side Baseball Park for several years and watched the Atlanta Braves religiously. More recently he has become an avid ice skater and hockey player where he works, Center Ice Arena. Ryan enjoyed snowboarding, spending time on the lake, and most recently started to golf, establishing a nice handicap.

Ryan’s true passion was his friends and family. He was always there for them whenever needed and would do anything asked of him without hesitation. Enjoying an experience with loved ones was more important than receiving any gift.

Ryan is survived by his father Dave (Elizabeth) Kowitz and mother Stephanie (J.T.) McMahan. He is also survived by his sister Katelyn Kowitz, stepbrothers David Carroll, Sam Carroll, Jacob McMahan and stepsister Grace Carroll. Ryan is also survived by his grandmother Pamela Kowitz and grandfather/grandmother, Peter/Faye Lenox.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1pm on Saturday July 6, at H.M. Patterson & Son – Canton Hill Chapel 1157 Old Canton Road NE, Marietta GA 30068.
