Rolenda "Linda" Ferreras Tiangco

Mrs. Rolenda “Linda” Ferreras Tiangco, 77 of Scarborough, Ontario passed away December 10, 2012 in Marietta, GA. She was born to the late Bonifacio and Edelberta Ferreras on December 8, 1935 in the Philippines. She enjoyed a career as a math and physics high school teacher while she lived there. Linda moved to Canada with her husband and three children in 1973. There she enjoyed being a home maker and raising her children. She loved to cook Filipino food, sewing and crocheting. She was a very strong and independent woman with a very giving and caring spirit. She loved her grandchildren, Harley, Joshua and Hope, with all her heart. Linda loved God and was a parishioner at the Catholic Church of St. Ann. She was preceded in death by her daughters, Alma Tiangco Velasco and Athea Tiangco. She is survived by her son Alfredo “Al” Tiangco and his wife Frances, grandchildren, Harley Velasco, Joshua Tiangco, and Hope Velasco, brother, Lordnaldo Ferreras and sisters, Emelda Simbulan, Corazon Mahinay and Salome Llanas. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, December 14, 2012 at 2:00pm at the Catholic Church of St. Ann. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00-9:00pm at H.M.
