Robert was born on February 7, 1939 to Roy Lee Bond and Vera Huff in Atlanta, GA. After graduating from Price High School in 1957. He went on to study Architectural Design at Atlanta Area Technical College kicking starting his career as a Printer Machine Operator.
In 1959, Robert met Elizabeth, and they married just one year later on April 10, 1960. They went on to have 3 beautiful daughters; Belinda, Melissa, and Theresa. Their love story would last for more than six decades, 63 years to be exact.
Mr. Huff retired from American Bank Stationary in the early 1980’s. He was a lifelong member of St. Paul A.M.E. Church in Atlanta. He was a fan of all Atlanta Sports. Braves, Hawks, Falcons were his favorite. He was a volunteer in his community and was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, and friend to all.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Lee Bond and Vera Tate Huff.
Survived by his wife of 63 years, Elizabeth Ann Carey Huff; daughters, Belinda Ann Davis, Melissa P. Avery-Dumas; Theresa Yvonne Favors and her husband, Reginald Favors; sister, Florine Greer and her husband, Robert Greer; 5 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and 2 sisters-in-law, also survive.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 20, 2023 at 12 Noon in the chapel of Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home with Rev. Laurence Parison officiating. Interment will follow in Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the homes of Melissa Avery-Dumas and Elizabeth A. Huff. They will also receive friends between the hours of 5 until 9 PM Wednesday, July 19 at the funeral home.
