Mr. Riley “Ron” White, formerly of Marietta, died Thursday, June 04, 2015. He was retired from MARTA, after 44 years of service as a Paint Shop Foreman. Ron had a very long passion for Coaching little league baseball, at the Sandy Plains Baseball Park. He was an established Stock Car Driver competing in the old Georgia Peachbowl Race Track. Ron had the honor of being inducted into the Georgia Racing Hall of Fame, for his stock car racing. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 59 years, Hazel E. White.
Funeral services celebrating his life will be held at 4:00pm, Sunday, June 7th, 2015, in the Chapel of Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2000 Cobb Parkway SE, Marietta, Georgia, 30060. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 8:00 pm, Saturday, June 6th, at the funeral home. Interment will follow on the Georgia Memorial Grounds.
