Richard Alfred Petree Jr.

He was born November 2, 1935 in Atlanta to Richard A. Petree, Sr. and Ladelle Reeves Petree.

He grew up in several states including Georgia, Alabama, Texas, and Virginia. He joined the U. S. Navy (1958-1961) and was stationed in the Great Lakes area.

Mr. Petree was light hearted with a sharp sense of humor and he was always ready to regale anyone with a story about his experiences in life. He loved God, his country, music, the ocean, but most of all he loved his family.

Survived by his wife of 53 years, Nancy H. Petree; children and grandchildren, Vanessa Petree, Jonathan, Brittany, Rachel, Zachary, and Seth, Richard Petree (Tina) - Joshua and Bryan, Lisa Fleming- Heath, Noah, and Nancy, Shelia Milian (Luis)- Noah and Gabriel; 5 great grandchildren; siblings, Betty Gray, Don Petree (Shelley), and Daina Abbot (Ron).

A visitation for Richard will be held Wednesday, November 9, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2000 Cobb Pkwy SE, Marietta, GA 30060. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at 2:00 PM, 2000 Cobb Pkwy SE, Marietta, GA 30060. A committal service will occur Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery, 2000 Cobb Pkwy SE, Marietta, GA 30060.
