Mrs. Phyllis Aretta (Poore) Wheeling, age 73, of Carrollton, passed away May 10, 2019. Phyllis was born November 2, 1945 in Saltville, VA to the late Claude and Lucille Poore. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Jack Wheeling, the love of her life and soulmate; brothers, Payton Poore, Lonnie Poore and sister, Delores Poore.
Phyllis was a devoted wife, mother and friend to all that came into her life. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her children, Penny Crowley (Tony), Jay Wheeling (Laura), Mike Wheeling (Bonnie), Tim Wheeling (Kate); brothers, Roger Poore (Gloria), Pete Poore (Dixie); 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday May 14th at 2 PM in the chapel of Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home with Bro. Damon Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends between the hours of 4 until 8 PM Monday at the funeral home.
