Patricia "Pat" Blackmon was born July 1, 1940 to Homer and Ruth Smith. She met the love of her life, Roland Blackmon, whom she , married on April 7, 1957. They were happily married for 55 years, during that time they had five children together. She enjoyed being a loving and caring wife and mother, playing bingo, spending time with her family, and spoiling her all of her dogs.
Patricia Blackmon was survived by four brothers (Lamar Smith, Jimmy Smith, Ervin Smith, David Smith), one sister (Luverne Dempsey), five children (Cleve Blackmon, Roland Blackmon, Connie Clanton, Bonnie Fitch, Tony Blackmon), ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and her two dogs (Lulu and Minnie).
She will be missed dearly by so many.
Funeral services will be held Saturday July 23 at 11 AM in the chapel of Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home with Rev. Banks Brazell officiating. Interment will follow in Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends between the hours of 5 until 8 PM Friday at the funeral home.
