Nona Marie Hart

Nona Marie Hart. age 81, of Marietta, GA passed away on Wednesday morning at 3:30 AM, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Nona was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming on October 26, 1936. She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Edwards and her mother Pearl M. Edwards. At a very early age she moved to Lawton Oklahoma with her Parents and two brothers, James Edwards and Joe Edwards. Her father was stationed at Ft. Sill’s Artillery Post. Nona attended Cameron Junior College. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, their four children, David, Stephen, Susan (Larry) Greene, and Michael, 3 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. She and her family lived in Macon, Georgia from 1956 until 1980. She served on the preschool staff at Vineville Baptist Church. They moved to Marietta in 1980. She served on the preschool staff at Eastside Baptist Church, for about 25 years. Services will be held at Eastside Baptist Church, Lower Roswell Road, on Tuesday, January 23, 2017 at 11:00 am with Rev. Ken Ellison and Dr. John Hull officiating. Following the service she will be laid to rest privately in Georgia National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made in Nona’s memory to The Gideon’s International, P.O.
