Ms. Pellom was born on December 28, 1961, in Marietta, GA, to the late Richard and Maureen Pellom.
She is survived by her sisters, Mona (Jeff) King of Dublin, GA, and Michelle (Paul) Sanders of Villa Rica, GA; Aunts, Joan Patterson of Conasauga, TN, Brenda Gibson of Cisco, and Betty Hampton of Chatsworth, GA; longtime best friend, Teresa Enloe; nieces and nephews whom she loved as her own children, Jenny (Michael) Dent, Christy (Paul) Warren, Andy (Amber) King, and P.J. Sanders; and a host of great nieces and nephews who greatly loved their “Noo-noo.”
Ms. Pellom was a 1979 graduate of Joseph Wheeler High School. She worked for East Marietta Drug Store and First Union Bank in Marietta for many years. On December 10, 1989, she received a combination kidney and pancreas transplant, an operation which was still experimental at the time. Ms. Pellom packed her Bible and bravely underwent the double transplant. She was forever grateful to her anonymous organ donor and to her Heavenly Father for this miracle. Ms. Pellom was a LifeLink supporter and devoted advocate for organ transplantation.
Ms. Pellom was a faithful servant of Christ and an active member of Eastwood Baptist Church. She had a passion for the church and expressed true joy while serving in various capacities, including ESL classes, vacation bible school, and on multiple committees over the years. Her kindness, bravery, humor, and faith impacted all those who knew her. She will be greatly missed by friends and family.
